Itinerary (Days)
Day 1
Drive from Manali (6,700 ft) to Jobra (9,800 ft).
Trek to Chika campsite (10,100 ft) through pine forests and open meadows.
Distance: 2 km | Time: 1.5–2 hours.
Stay in tents by the river.
Day 2
Trek along the Rani Nallah, crossing lush meadows and rocky patches.
Reach Balu Ka Ghera (11,900 ft), a vast plain surrounded by snow peaks.
Distance: 5 km | Time: 4–5 hours.
Camping with views of Hanuman Tibba.
Day 3
Trek up to Hampta Pass (14,100 ft) — the most thrilling part!
Stunning views of the Lahaul and Spiti valleys.
Day 4
Trek down along the valley to Chatru (11,000 ft).
Witness the dramatic shift from green valleys to Spiti’s barren mountains.
If weather and roads allow, drive to the magical Chandratal Lake (14,000 ft).
Distance: 7 km trek + 70 km drive to Chandratal.
Day 5
