Itinerary (Days)
Day 1
The adventure begins in the charming town of Kasol, nestled in the picturesque Parvati Valley. Trekkers leave behind the chaos of urban life, immersing themselves in the serene beauty of the Himalayas.
The first leg of the trek takes them to Grahan Village, a peaceful settlement known for its rustic charm and welcoming locals. Along the way, trekkers pass through winding trails, lush forests, and stunning views of towering mountains and cascading streams. Upon arrival at Grahan, the warm hospitality of the community offers a glimpse into their traditional lifestyle. It’s a perfect place to unwind, recharge, and prepare for the exciting journey ahead through the heart of the Himalayas
Day 2
On Day 2 of the Sar Pass Trek, trekkers journey from Grahan Village to Mung Thatch, located at an elevation of 11,154 feet. This leg of the trek takes around 4-5 hours. Starting from the charming village, adventurers ascend through lush forests and winding trails, gradually gaining altitude. Along the way, they are treated to stunning views of snow-capped peaks and lush valleys. Upon reaching Mung Thatch, trekkers can relax in the peaceful high-altitude meadow, soaking in the beauty of the Himalayas and gearing up for the next phase of their unforgettable adventure
Day 3
On Day 3 of the Sar Pass Trek, trekkers will journey from Min Thach to Nagaru, reaching an elevation of 12,467 feet. This leg typically takes 4-6 hours, depending on the group’s pace and trail conditions. The route features a mix of scenic meadows and rugged terrain, with trekkers gradually ascending toward Nagaru. As they climb higher, acclimatization becomes key for safety. Nagaru, surrounded by breathtaking Himalayan views, provides a tranquil resting spot before the next phase of the trek. Day 4
On Day 4 of the Sar Pass Trek, adventurers embark on a challenging ascent from Nagaru to the summit of Sar Pass, located at an impressive altitude of 13,780 feet. This leg of the trek offers a significant elevation gain, rewarding trekkers with panoramic views of snow-capped peaks and lush valleys upon reaching the summit. After soaking in the breathtaking scenery and feeling the sense of accomplishment, trekkers begin their descent towards Bishkeri Thatch at 10,990 feet. The descent, which takes 6-8 hours, takes trekkers through rocky paths and alpine meadows. Upon arrival at Bishkeri Thatch, trekkers can relax in the peaceful surroundings, reflecting on their journey and preparing for the final leg of the trek
Day 5
On Day 5 of the Sar Pass Trek, trekkers journey from Bishkeri to Barshaini, marking the final stretch of their adventure. The descent, which takes about 4-5 hours, offers scenic views as trekkers leave the high-altitude terrain behind and enter the lush, verdant Parvati Valley. Along the way, the gushing rivers and tranquil landscapes provide a peaceful contrast to the earlier rugged trails. The trek concludes at Barshaini, from where trekkers can head to Manikaran or Kasol (altitude: 7,880 feet). Here, adventurers can reflect on their incredible journey, unwind, and soak in the serenity before parting ways with the mountains, taking with them memories of an unforgettable Himalayan experience
