Overview

This trek takes you to the mesmerizing landscapes of Uttarakhand, combining a blend of easy to moderate difficulty and stunning views at an altitude of 12,500 feet. Spanning 5 days and 4 nights, it provides a perfect introduction to high-altitude trekking, while offering ample time for exploration and relaxation.

The trek starts and ends at Dehradun, making it easily accessible. The route takes you through dense forests, meadows, and high-altitude ridges, with a journey to the Seema Thach and Gulabi Kantha summit offering breathtaking vistas of the surrounding Himalayan peaks

Eligibility Criteria

  1. Age: 12 years and above
  2. Fitness: Moderate fitness required
  3. Health: Good general health, no major medical issues
  4. Experience: No prior trekking experience needed
  5. Consent: Parental consent for minors

Itinerary (Days)

Day 1

After an early pick-up from Dehradun (6:00 AM), you’ll embark on a scenic drive to Nishni Village, a beautiful and peaceful base. The drive takes you through 175 km of lush greenery and picturesque landscapes. Upon arrival, you’ll settle into your homestay and have a brief orientation about the trek ahead. The evening will be spent relaxing, with tea and a briefing

Day 2

The trekking begins with an early breakfast, followed by an 8 km hike to Seema Thach. This trek takes around 4 to 5 hours and leads to a scenic campsite situated at 3,400 meters. The terrain includes forest trails and beautiful meadows. Upon arrival at the campsite, you'll have lunch and plenty of leisure time to enjoy the serenity of nature. In the evening, enjoy a hot cup of tea, followed by a detailed briefing and dinner

Day 3

Day 3 is the summit day! You will set out early for a 10 km trek that takes you to the Gulabi Kantha summit at 3,789 meters. The trail is challenging but rewarding, offering breathtaking panoramic views of the surrounding mountains. After reaching the summit, you’ll return to Seema Thach for the evening, where you can unwind and enjoy tea, followed by dinner and a briefing for the next day

Day 4

After a hearty breakfast, you’ll descend back to Nishni Village, covering 8 km. The descent is easier and offers a different perspective of the trails, with lush greenery and beautiful mountain views. On reaching Nishni Village, you’ll relax and stay overnight in your homestay

Day 5

On the final day, after breakfast, you’ll return to Dehradun, marking the end of the trek. The drive back takes about 5-6 hours, giving you a chance to reflect on the experience and cherish the memories of the journey
