The Char Dham Yatra is a sacred pilgrimage through the serene Himalayas of Uttarakhand, covering four ancient temples: Yamunotri, Gangotri, Kedarnath, and Badrinath. These holy shrines represent the spiritual sources of India’s revered rivers and hold immense religious significance for Hindus. The journey combines devotion, adventure, and natural beauty, making it a once-in-a-lifetime experience for spiritual seekers.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Age Limit: Recommended for 7 to 70 years (above 60 should carry medical certificate)

  • Fitness: Basic physical fitness required for trekking (especially for Kedarnath)

  • ID & Registration: Govt-issued ID proof and registration for Char Dham Yatra are mandatory

  • ID Proof: Aadhar/Voter ID (mandatory for registration)

  • Medical Certificate: Especially for senior citizens

  • Warm Clothing: Jackets, thermals, woolen socks, gloves

  • Trekking Gear: Comfortable shoes, walking stick

Itinerary (Days)

Day 1

  • Pickup from Haridwar / Dehradun / Rishikesh

  • Scenic drive via Mussoorie, visit Kempty Falls

  • Arrive at Barkot and check-in

  • Overnight stay at Barkot

Day 2

  • Early drive to Janki Chatti, then trek to Yamunotri Temple

  • Take a dip in Tapt Kund and visit the Divya Shila

  • Return trek and drive back to Barkot

  • Overnight stay at Barkot

Day 3

  • Drive to Uttarkashi along the Yamuna and Bhagirathi rivers

  • Visit Vishwanath Temple & Shakti Temple

  • Overnight stay at Uttarkashi

Day 4

  • Early drive to Gangotri Temple

  • Take a holy dip in the sacred Bhagirathi River

  • Return to Uttarkashi by evening

  • Overnight stay at Uttarkashi

Day 5

  • Long scenic drive via Moolgarh & Lambgaon

  • View the confluence of Alaknanda & Mandakini Rivers

  • Visit Ardh Narishwar Temple at Guptkashi

  • Overnight stay at Guptkashi

Day 6

  • Drive to Sonprayag, then local jeep to Gaurikund

  • Start trek to Kedarnath Temple

  • Darshan and puja at Kedarnath

  • Overnight stay at Kedarnath

Day 7

  • Morning darshan (if missed earlier)

  • Trek down to Gaurikund and drive back to Guptkashi

  •  Overnight stay at Guptkashi

Day 8

  • Drive to Badrinath via Joshimath

  • Visit Badrinath Temple, take a dip in Tapt Kund

  • Explore Mana Village (Last Indian Village), Vyas Gufa, Bhim Pul

  • Overnight stay at Badrinath

Day 9

  • Optional morning temple visit

  • Leisurely drive down to a mid-point town (Rudraprayag / Joshimath / Pipalkoti)

  • Relax and enjoy river views

  • Overnight stay at chosen stop

Day 10

  • Drive back to Haridwar via Devprayag (Sangam of Alaknanda & Bhagirathi)

  • Drop-off at Haridwar / Rishikesh / Dehradun
