Kuari Pass Trek Itinerary
Day 1: Dehradun to Joshimath, 280km, 10 Hours (6150 ft)
The adventure begins with a scenic 10-hour drive from Dehradun to Joshimath, covering 280 kilometers. Along the way, trekkers will enjoy stunning views of lush valleys, winding rivers, and majestic mountains.
Arriving in Joshimath, located at 6,150 feet, provides an opportunity to acclimatize and prepare for the trek ahead, surrounded by the serene beauty of the Himalayas.
Day 2: Joshimath To Guling Trek, 6 Kms Trek (9850 ft)
On Day 2, trekkers will journey from Joshimath to Guling, covering about 6 kilometers and reaching an elevation of 9,850 feet. This moderate trek features varied terrain and elevation gains, allowing for gradual acclimatization to higher altitudes.
As you trek, enjoy the stunning natural beauty of the Himalayas, passing through forests, meadows, and mountain streams. Guling serves as a serene campsite where trekkers can rest, recharge, and prepare for the adventures ahead
Day 3: Trek From Guling To Khulara Campsite , 5 km Trek, 4-5 Hours (11,122 ft)
On Day 3, adventurers will trek from Guling to the Khulara Campsite, covering approximately 5 kilometers in 4 to 5 hours. Ascending to 11,122 feet, trekkers will be rewarded with stunning vistas of the Himalayan landscape.
The trail features varied terrain, including gentle slopes and rocky paths, providing both challenge and beauty. Upon reaching Khulara Campsite, trekkers can relax, recharge, and enjoy the tranquility of the mountains before continuing their journey
Day 4: Khulara Campsite to Kuari pass and Return to Khulara Campsite (12,500 ft)
On Day 4, trekkers will tackle the challenging journey from Khulara Campsite to the summit of Kuari Pass, which is at an elevation of approximately 12,500 feet. Upon reaching the summit, enjoy panoramic views of the majestic Himalayan peaks, including Nanda Devi and Trishul.
