  1. Embark on one of Uttarakhand’s most beautiful and beginner-friendly Himalayan treks — the Chopta – Tungnath – Chandrashila – Deoriatal circuit.

    Known as the Mini Switzerland of Uttarakhand, Chopta is a quaint, evergreen hill station surrounded by dense forests and breathtaking meadows. This trek takes you to Tungnath, the world’s highest Shiva temple at 3,680 m, and the Chandrashila summit, which offers jaw-dropping 360-degree views of the mighty Himalayan peaks, including Nanda Devi, Chaukhamba, and Trishul.

    Your adventure also includes the serene Deoriatal Lake, famous for its crystal-clear reflections of the snow-capped Chaukhamba peaks and tranquil surroundings.

    Perfect for beginners and nature lovers, this trek combines easy trails, spiritual touchpoints, and panoramic mountain views — all packed into a short, refreshing getaway.

    Inclusion:

  2. Stay: Accommodation in Swiss tents or homestay on a quad sharing basis. (Double/triple sharing available at extra cost and subject to availability.)

Eligibility Criteria

  1. Suitable for ages 10 years & above (kids must be with parents/guardians).

  2. Beginners are welcome! No prior high-altitude trekking experience needed.

  3. Should be reasonably fit — able to walk 4–5 hours a day on easy-to-moderate slopes.

  4. Avoid if you have serious heart, asthma, or major knee/back problems.

  5. Not recommended for pregnant women.

Things You Need

  1. Valid Photo ID Proof (Aadhar/Driving License/Passport)

  2. Backpack with rain cover (30–50L)

  3. Good trekking shoes with good grip (don’t wear new shoes)

  4. Trek pants & 2–3 T-shirts (full sleeves preferred)

  5. Warm clothes: thermal innerwear, fleece jacket, padded jacket

  6. Woolen cap, muffler, gloves, extra pairs of socks

Chopta Chandrashila Trek 5Days Itinerary

Day 1: Departure from Delhi

  1. Assemble at the pickup point in Delhi in the evening/night.

  2. Board your bus/tempo traveller and begin the overnight journey to Chopta.

Day 2: Arrival at Chopta & Rest Day

  1. Reach Chopta by afternoon.

  2. Check into your campsite or homestay.

  3. Rest and acclimatize to the beautiful surroundings — the Mini Switzerland of Uttarakhand.

  4. Dinner & overnight stay in Chopta.

Day 3: Trek to Tungnath & Chandrashila

  1. Wake up early for breakfast.

  2. Start the trek to Tungnath, the highest Shiva temple in the world.

  3. From Tungnath, continue to the stunning Chandrashila summit for panoramic Himalayan views.

  4. Descend back and drive to your homestay at Sari/Chopta village.

  5. Dinner & overnight stay.

Day 4: Trek to Deoriatal & Return Journey

  • After breakfast, trek to the beautiful Deoriatal Lake, known for its reflection of Chaukhamba peaks.

  • Spend some peaceful time at the lake, click photos, and soak in the views.

  • Descend back to Sari village, freshen up, and begin your overnight return journey to Delhi.

Day 5: Arrival at Delhi

Early morning arrival back in Delhi with unforgettable memories!
