Eligibility Criteria

✅ Trekkers should be physically fit for high-altitude trekking.
✅ Recommended age is 18–65 years with no serious medical conditions.
✅ Valid ID proof, passport-size photos, and Inner Line Permit are required.
✅ Prior trekking experience at altitude is helpful but not mandatory.

Things You Need

You’ll need to carry valid ID proof (like Aadhaar or passport), multiple passport-sized photographs, and inner line permit documents, as this area is close to the Indo-Tibet border. Good trekking shoes, warm layered clothing, gloves, caps, and rain gear are essential due to unpredictable mountain weather. A personal first aid kit, prescribed medicines, toiletries, sunscreen, and sunglasses are important for self-care. Also, carry snacks, a refillable water bottle, a power bank, and a flashlight or headlamp, as power and network availability may be limited in remote areas.

Adi Kailash Itinerary

Day 1: Rishikesh to Kathgodam

  • Early Morning (6-7 AM): Start your journey from Rishikesh towards Kathgodam in our vehicle. The drive is around 7–8 hours (approx. 270 km).
  • Breakfast: Enjoy a light breakfast at our in-house cafe.
  • Mid-Day: Continue the drive through beautiful landscapes, enjoying the scenic route via Ramnagar or Haldwani.
  • Lunch Stop (1-2 PM): Take a break at a nice dhaba or restaurant on the way for lunch. Try local Kumaoni cuisine if available.
  • Afternoon: Resume your journey and reach Kathgodam by evening.
    • Check-in: Arrive at your homestay, freshen up, and relax.
  • Dinner: Enjoy a homemade meal at the homestay.
  • Rest: Unwind after the long journey and get a good night's sleep.

Day 2: Kathgodam → Kasar Devi

  • Morning: Early morning pickup from Kathgodam/Haldwani.

  • Breakfast & Relaxation: Enjoy breakfast by the serene Bhimtal Lake in Bhimtal.

  • Travel: Proceed towards Kachi Dham.

  • Sightseeing: Visit Kachi Dham.

  • Travel: Continue the journey to Kasar Devi, passing through Almora.

  • Overnight Stay: Check into a hotel in Kasar Devi and rest for the night.

Day 3: Kasar Devi → Dharchula

  • Morning: After breakfast, proceed to Chitai Golu Devta Temple.
  • Sightseeing:
    • Visit Chitai Temple
    • Visit Jageshwar Temple, a beautiful complex of ancient temples nestled in the forest.
  • Travel: Continue your journey towards Dharchula.
  • Overnight Stay: Check into a hotel in Dharchula and relax.

Day 4: Dharchula → Gunji / Nabi

  • Route Description: Drive from Dharchula to Gunji, a picturesque village situated at an elevation of 3200 meters, near the India-Tibet border.

  • Enroute Highlights:
    Pass through charming Himalayan villages like:

    • Chialekh

    • Garbyang

    • Nepalchu

    Enjoy breathtaking views of the mountains, waterfalls, and rivers as you ascend toward Gunji/Nabi.

Day 5: Visit Mount Adi Kailash & Parvati Kund

Drive to Jyolingkong (4762m) in local jeeps, enjoying scenic views of sacred peaks.
Trek 3–4 km to visit Parvati Lake (Gauri Kund) and Adi Kailash Temple.
Return to Gunji after darshan.

Day 6: Visit Om Parvat via Kalapani

Drive to Om Parvat and reach Nabhidang viewpoint (4340m) to see the 'Om' snow formation.
Visit Ved Vyas Gufa and Kali Temple in Kalapani village.
Return to Gunji, enjoying views of Sheshnag Parvat.

Day 7: Gunji/Nabi to Dharchula

  • Scenic downhill journey.
  • Overnight at Dharchula.

Day 8: Dharchula to Rishikesh
