Green Route is a Shillong-based tour operator established in 2007, committed to socially responsible tourism in North East India. It began as a rural tour operator and now works directly with local communities on resource management, sanitation, environmental awareness and cultural preservation. It runs motorbike tours and expeditions across Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland and Sikkim, and favours small, controlled groups over mass tourism to protect indigenous traditions, lifestyles and ecosystems.
